One target, one day, one crowd
The target is set with you before the event and announced at opening: a height to reach, a span to cross, a model to finish. Visitors build segments that are added one to another, and the structure grows as people pass through.
Our hosts call the milestones on the microphone: what is built, what is left, how many pairs of hands it will take before closing. Visitors come back during the day to see where the site has got to.
Over a multi-day event the target is split by day. The organiser has something to announce every morning and a different photograph to post every evening.
How it works
- We set the target togetherWe work from your expected footfall, your duration and the space available. A target is sized on what the public can realistically build in the time given.
- We build before you openBase structure, preparation tables, sorted crates, progress signage. We need a flat floor, unloading access and a power socket for the sound system.
- The announcement at openingThe challenge is presented on the microphone, with the target and the deadline. People know what they are joining as soon as they approach.
- The build runs all dayVisitors build segments, our hosts assemble them and keep the count. Nobody has to stay: ten minutes is enough to have contributed.
- Finished, then kept or dismantledYou keep the piece if you want to, otherwise we dismantle it and take it away. Both options appear in the quote.

Where it works less well
At a strictly professional fair with timed appointments, nobody stops long enough for a collective build to move. A build corner on your own stand suits that case better.

What does it cost?

What target is realistic?
It depends on your footfall and your duration. We size the piece on what the public can build in the time given and we tell you that size before signing, not on the day.
What if the public doesn't join in?
Our hosts build alongside visitors from start to finish and prompt on the microphone in quiet hours. The structure therefore keeps growing whatever the footfall that day.
How much floor space is needed?
25 m² for a one-day challenge, up to 80 m² for a multi-day thread with preparation tables around the structure. Send us your site plan and we will confirm the layout.
Do we need to provide staff?
No. Our hosts run the stand from start to finish, and handle set-up and take-down. One contact for site access and power is enough on the day.
Can it run outdoors?
Yes, with a compulsory fallback: a marquee, a covered area or a back-up room named in the contract. Bricks and rain do not mix.
Are the bricks cleaned?
Yes, washed and dried between bookings, with an intermediate cleaning on multi-day operations.
How far ahead should we book?
A month for a standard challenge, six weeks if the piece reproduces custom artwork. February and April half-terms and the Christmas period book three to four months ahead.
