The giant participatory mosaic
A strong image — your campaign artwork, a local landmark, the town crest — cut into panels and rebuilt by your visitors over the hours. No booking: you sit down, lay a few pieces and leave when you like.

How an image fits into crates of bricks
The artwork is converted into a laying plan, panel by panel, with its colour code. Panels, printed plans and crates of sorted pieces go out on tables. A visitor sits down, takes a plan, lays a few dozen pieces and leaves the seat to the next one: a panel passes through five or six pairs of hands before it is finished.
Panels join the board as they are completed. The image closes up area by area, and people come back during the day to see what has moved since they last passed.
At Montbrison, a 2 × 1.5 m mosaic was built in one day by around a hundred participants, from artwork supplied by the toy library. The last block went on two hours before the festival closed.
How it works
- You choose the artworkYour campaign poster, the town crest, a photograph of a local landmark, your logo. Artwork you supply is used as it stands, as the Montbrison toy library did.
- We design the laying planThe image becomes a grid of panels, each with its plan and colour code. You receive a preview of the finished result before the first piece is laid.
- We build before you openBoard, tables, sorted crates, plans, signage: we arrive the night before or before opening, according to your access rules. We need a flat floor, unloading access and a power socket if the activation is amplified.
- The public buildsOur hosts run the stand from start to finish: they explain in thirty seconds, keep the crates in order and place finished panels on the board. You mobilise nobody.
- The piece stays, or leaves with usMany venues keep it and display it for several weeks. Otherwise we dismantle and take everything away. Both options appear in the quote.

The same set-up, depending on who books it
In a shopping centre
25 to 60 m² on a main route, artwork in your campaign colours, built overnight or before opening. Our rates are provided on request, within 24 to 48 working hours.
For a local authority
The town crest, a heritage photograph, the town festival poster. Our rates are provided on request, within 24 to 48 working hours.
At a fair, for the organiser
The mosaic becomes the rallying point of the event, started at opening and finished at closing. At Nécronomi'con, 16,000 pieces were laid over a weekend by several hundred visitors; the piece then served as the stand's photo backdrop.
At a fair, for the exhibitor
Our rates are provided on request, within 24 to 48 working hours. Our host runs the stand while your sales team keeps hold of the conversation.
What people ask
What does it cost?
The price depends on who is booking. Our rates are provided on request, within 24 to 48 working hours. Design, equipment, transport, set-up, hosting and take-down are included in every case.
How much floor space is needed?
25 m² is enough with a few tables and the board. Above 40 m² you are mainly adding tables, which raises the number of people building at the same time. Send us your floor plan and we will point out the spot that captures the most passing traffic.
Which images work?
High-contrast images with readable shapes: a logo, a crest, a landmark, a poster. Very detailed photographs or soft gradients work less well, because brick only knows flat colour. We tell you before we start the design.
How long does it take to finish?
We size the piece to your duration and your footfall. Around a hundred participants in one day built 2 × 1.5 m at Montbrison; several hundred visitors over a weekend laid 16,000 pieces at Nécronomi'con.
Do we need to provide staff?
No. Our hosts run the stand from start to finish, and handle set-up and take-down. One contact for site access and power is enough on the day.
Can it run outdoors?
Yes, with a compulsory fallback: a marquee, a covered area or a back-up room named in the contract. Bricks and rain do not mix.
Are the bricks cleaned?
Yes, washed and dried between bookings, with an intermediate cleaning on multi-day operations.
How far ahead should we book?
A month for a standard activation, six weeks with custom artwork, the time needed to design the laying plan. February and April half-terms and the Christmas period book three to four months ahead: those are our three peaks.
